Likewise, air transport, roads, banks, electricity and other services have been at the full potential and at the peak of activity.
On the heels of the severity of the destruction and other causes, the reinstatement activities have not yet covered the focused target despite the move being taken by the government deserves appreciation and respect. It goes without saying the incumbent has been working in close collaboration with all stakeholders to restore everything required for the people of the northern part of the country in the war-affected areas.
In a similar vein, it has been working around the clock with international partners with the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to the people in need. In point of fact, the incumbent has been fast-tracking the whole lot required for the people of the northern part of the country. For instance, it has been providing a wide range of food and non-food items, medicine, fuel, and other things of a similar kind.
In point of fact, the move being taken by the government has been witnessed by various bodies and organizations. It should be borne in mind that at the time when the Special Envoy of the African Union headed to the Tigray state it acknowledged that the delivery of humanitarian assistance has been in full swing and at the peak of activity.
Apart from that delegation of high ranking government officials led-by House of Speaker Tagesse Chafo made sure the unwavering stance of the government in delivering unfettered humanitarian assistance, resumption of basic services and other valuable activities that can take the country to the next level of accomplishment.
In the same way, the special envoy affirmed that electricity, banking, telecommunication, and other basic services have set in motion seeing light at the end of the tunnel in the Tigray State.
There is no denying the fact that following the commitment of the federal government to patch things up as stipulated in the cessation of hostilities agreement, the people of Tigray have been expressing their firm stance to stand by the side of the federal government in giving rise to the peace implementation. In a similar vein, the people of Tigray living in Addis Ababa have been magnificently lending support to the incumbent and smooth the path of returning the whole thing in the region to normalcy.
Reasoning from this fact, the federal government has been getting to the bottom of the problem in an atmosphere of calm. It is worth mentioning that regardless of the fact that several endeavors have been made by Ethiopia’s arch foes to dismantle the country, Ethiopia ended up making the whole thing unfolding in the northern part of the country history and getting everything back to normal.
As the incumbent is determined to turn the cessation of hostilities agreement in all corners of the northern part of the country, everything has been coming to fruition and yielding results. As things stand at present, as the wider global community has realized the positive developments surfacing in the northern part of the country, they have been working with the federal government and commending warmly.
Regardless of the fact that some entrepreneurs of war disappointed by the peace agreement have been moving heaven and earth to throw cold water on the positive moves, reaching the target turned out to be a worthless chase and a worthless hunt.
Even though the Ethiopian government is the leading provider of humanitarian assistances, the scale of the demand is big that it requires the engagement of international partners. With the increasing diplomatic relations, more partners are donating and pledging more humanitarian support to Ethiopia.
Last week, France, Germany, China, Canada, and UK have already expressed readiness to provide finance donation. Lately, Canada has donated 8.8 million USD for World Food Program (WFP)’s humanitarian response in Ethiopia.
WFP has expressed gratitude to the people of Canada for timely contribution and partnership in meeting the most urgent food and nutrition needs in Ethiopia. Ethiopia and Canada have been working on cementing the two countries’ ties in all felids of cooperation, Ethiopian Ambassador to Canada said.

This is a firm showcase for countries’ deep-rooted long time strong ties. Furthermore, Canada has played its decisive role in supplying humanitarian assistances for conflict affected people in northern Ethiopia.
Efforts are underway to transform the existing relationship into the highest level of diplomatic relationship. The conversations between Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and his counter-part Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are indicators of both countries’ strong diplomatic ties.
He noted that Canada has welcomed and supported the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement (CoHA) between the Ethiopian government and TPLF. The two countries’ relationship counted half a century.
The Foreign Ministers of France and Germany will continue their support to Ethiopia in various forms including to realizing a sustainable climate resilient agriculture as they conferred with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and President Sahle-Work Zewde on various issues of mutual concern recently.
The first objective of the visit to Ethiopia is to accompany and support the peace process which has also allowed humanitarian aid to reach people affected by the war,” Foreign Minister of France, Catherine Colonna said.
She also mentioned that the two countries will finance the rehabilitation of the electricity network in Amhara and Tigray. “We came here supporting the peace agreement signed in Pretoria.
There is a good start as the hostilities have ceased, the public services have started, the handing over of heavy weapons has also commenced. ”Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has made the first assessment which is positive and we encourage him to continue. We encourage everyone in good faith to seek lasting solutions for the country to regain peace and security and the paths of development.
Notwithstanding the fact that the federal government has been paving the way for the whole lot required for war affected areas in the northern part of the country, the global community should spare no effort to stand by the side of the incumbent on the grounds that much help is needed to accomplish the desired goal.
By the same token, the wider global community should make an effort to expedite the much needed help in kind and cash and abolish the problem once and for all from the face of the northern part of the country. As a matter of fact, as the government of Ethiopia has been committed to smoothing the path of the delivery of humanitarian assistance and restoration of social infrastructure, achieving the anticipated goal has not been attained yet.
