ADDIS ABABA– Gorgora, a part of ‘Dine for Nation Initiative’, would soon give a different view for Ethiopia’s tourism diplomacy, so said Ambassadors and diplomatic missions.

In their recent visit to the Gorgora project, the ambassadors noted that the project would pave the way for strengthening tourism diplomacy via creating stunning view for tourists.

Ambassador Hirut Zemene stated that the project will allow the nation attract number of tourists through making the tourism activities tangible as well as placing the tourist destination on different packages. ‘If it was not for the project that took the natural resource in to consideration, Gorgora would not be recognized even by Ethiopians’, she underscored.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the USA, Seleshi Bekele mentioned that the project signifies the commitment that the country devoted to accomplish the project even under multifaceted challenges.

Bearing the hindrance related to importing necessary inputs for the project, the project status is appealing, as to him. Realizing such project even when the nation was under diplomatic and other pressures is extraordinary said Ambassador Birtukan Ayano, Foreign Affairs State Minister.

She indicated that in the future ‘Dine for Nation’ projects are expected to become major tourist destinations in Ethiopia. She also stated that the projects are symbolic development works that demonstrate the facts that Ethiopians can commence and complete development projects on time.

Ambassadors representing Ethiopia in various countries visited the Gorgora project. Ambassador of Ethiopia to Djibouti BerhanuTsegaye, stated that it is through mobilizing internal capacity that others would entice to support. Gorgora project is a simple indication in this regard.

Apart from nation’s relation with leaders, governments and people to people tie, the project would serve the nation better through its tourism sector. It is known that the Gorgora project is designed to captivate tourist flow and establish various development projects by utilizing its natural resource and enticing scenery.

It is also stated that the Gorgora project consists of modern seaside cafes and restaurants, cycling and horse riding, development of traditional villages, agricultural research, development of fishing access and related projects.
